The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) -  Eligibility/Apply

What are the eligibility requirements for TEFAP?

Participation in the household distribution program requires that you meet income eligibility at 185 percent of Federal Poverty Guidelines by self declaration and that you live in the geographic area of the service agency. The Federal Poverty Guidelines 185 percent are:

How do I apply for TEFAP?

Since eligibility is self-declared, there is not a formal application to complete.  When you visit a TEFAP location, you be asked to provide identification (this can be anything with your name and address such as a bill) and sign-in. View sample sign-in sheet (18 KB PDF).
