Independent Living Rehabilitation Services (ILRS)

The purpose of funds authorized under this program is to assist states in providing services to individuals who may benefit, to enable them to live and function more independently within their home or community.

As a result of limited resources the following policies or processes are now being implemented in the ILRS program.

All individuals who have not yet had an IL plan implemented or who apply for IL services in the future will be subject to a waitlist that is based on the date of application. Movement from the waitlist will be based on the availability of funding and will be managed at a centralized location to ensure equitability.

All ILRS cases will be subject to a cap of $5,000 regardless of the services being considered. This will be placed into effect for all new cases.
